Meet Dr. Small
Dr. Small’s office is a serene, caring and professional environment where patient comfort and dental excellence come first. She is both a Prosthodontist, specializing in esthetic and restorative dentistry, and an implant surgeon, able to perform all aspects of surgery related to implant dentistry.
Dr. Small completed her undergraduate education receiving her B.A. from Yeshiva University. She then went on to achieve her dental degree, DDS from the Columbia University School of Dental Medicine and, simultaneously, a Masters of Public Health, MPH from the Columbia University School of Public Health. Her post-doctoral training included a one-year General Practice Residency and a two-year Prosthodontic Specialty Residency at the Manhattan Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, followed by a two-year Dental Implant Fellowship at New York University College of Dentistry.
Dr. Small taught implant dentistry at both New York University College of Dentistry and Columbia University College of Medicine as an Assistant Clinical Professor for 27 years.
Dr. Small published three scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals, and holds two U.S. patents related to implant dentistry.
In addition to her many professional accomplishments, Dr. Small has pursued her passion for yoga, becoming a certified yoga instructor and now volunteers her time teaching developmentally disabled adults and teenagers. Dr. Small is also an avid bridge enthusiast, and is currently a Life Master, rising through the ranks as she continues to compete in bridge tournaments.
Dr. Small is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of Osseointegration, the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics and the Northeast Society of Periodontics.
